FUN CRAFTS FOR KIDDOS part 1

Viggo has a little mini kitchen like almost every kiddo and he loves to spend time makin' and bakin'. But - the thing is, I'd love for him to have some "food' to play with too and no plastic stuff but the real deal. So I thought of trolldeg! When I was little we made salty dough almost every weekend and I want Viggo to do the same. Esay peasy to make the dough and just bake it in the owen and paint! I'm planning on doing cinnamonrolls and raspberry cakes like below, total photocredit to the blog Lindas Rassel that I found on pinterest, it's exactly how I visioned it in my head! And why not donuts and pain au chocolat? And croissants?! Yaj! :D

DIY - ALPHA

Got some alphas you don't like anymore? Or that looked pretty on the web and not that pretty for real? It happend to me, I ordered a red one that I really like font-wise but the color is just too christmassy, red sparkles doesn't fit my spring mood. So I decided to try a new thing - spray paint them!

This is how I did:

1. Take alphas you wanna give a new look. You can't see the sparkles here but it sparkles!

2. Take spray paint, I chosed copper

3. Spray paint

4. Leave to dry at least 1 hour

Tadaa! A new alpha in copper that - sparkles! :D

Try it, it's fun and recycling is good!

ALBUM FOR GRANDPA

It was my dad's birthday this week and I thought a mini album would be a perfect gift! I looked around a bit and found these little jewels, we R memory keepers instagram albums, the perfect color and the perfect size. The page protectors size either 10x10cm or 4 small 5x5cm photos and I just made a template in Photoshop and printed! Easy peasy! :) Tomorrow I'll do some inserts with text etc so my dad knows when and where!

FRIDAY LOVE

Finally Friday! Only 3 more hours to go before the weekend seriously starts! We have the most beautiful spring weather here with sun and 20 degrees, I can't wait to be outside! I bought some new decoration elements but here is what inspires me on Pinterest today:

PRRRETTYNESS IN A CLOCK!

I checked out my Pinterest this morning and saw one of these wall clock and had one of those oh-swell-moments! Yum, yum of prettyness!

I didn't know this online store and now I'm totally hooked! Society6 have all you could ever wanted in art prints! If you like the print you can chose it on clocks, bags, mugs, t-shirts and on and on. Amazing and Affordable! Go check it out here!

There are 80 (!) pages of wall clocks and now my only issue is which one to chose! :D

SHOPPING TIP!

I found this cute little online shop yesterday with the sweetest little things and I just needed to share with you! I think I pinned the entire store because I really want everything, the little necklaces and rings, and the mugs and things for the kid… all! Bird on the Wire is the name and they also have a real store in Paris. Prettyness!

ALL HEARTS DAY

as it's called it in Sweden is tomorrow and this is what I had bought if I had had the time to order online... It's dorky stuff, cheap and from the same store just to make it easy!
Neither Philippe or me are big enthusiasts of Valentines day so it's not a biggie, but he'll get something ;)

ODE TO THE WEATHER... OR NOT

It's raining, it's all foggy and grey here in Montpellier today, so I thought I would cheer myself up with this pic that I snapped yesterday morning in the car going to work. AND show you the new calendar stamp/brush set I bought from Paislee Press, that is just perfect! I also bought some other templates and I'll show you, they are gorgeous and so versatile!

I used a vsco filter and the calendar and I use this photo like a title card for my PL.

APP TIP!

This is a cute little app for kids Little Fox Music Box, it's a sing-a-long app but the best thing is the little cosy music studio where you can use everything on the screen! A frog burps, a bottle blow and birds sing. But it's all so calm and soothing, you won't go nuts when your kid's using it - good for child, good for parents! :)

Viggo loves it and we have concert sessions together, awesome!

MORE H&M HOME KIDS

I found more prettyness at H&M Home and now I'm really considering ordering some stuff to my mums' address in Stockholm and then ship it to me... What do you think, aren't these budget friendly-Ferm Living-copies worthy a go?

FRECKLED FAWN

I've been seeing all these pretty embellishments in PL-creations in cork and wood and so on but never knewed where to get them. Now I do. I found the Freckled Fawn shop where you can either buy embellishments in monthly kits or just shop them normally. Shipping is about 12€ to Europe so threw in quite much in my basket to make it worth the shipping cost... Yeah right, who am I kidding, that's just a good excuse to shop a lot! :D

I just printed some photos and the house is quiet since everybody else is taking a nap so I'll try to make another PL page right away. And it's raining so it's kinda perfect for a scapping afternoon.

SCENTED CANDLES

I read the new issue of “Trendenser”, an iPad magazine, and learned something I had no idea about. That scented candles can be bad for you, it's polluting your indoor air.

 Some scented candles are made of paraffin wax which is the “final by-product in the petroleum refining chain” and “it’s the bottom of the barrel even after asphalt extracted”… hmm. Your scented candle might scent a bit less nice after reading that.

For me and my, for the moment 8 Ikea candles on the kitchen island, this strikes me as a bit unhealthy. Ikea makes cheap candles but they are all made of paraffin wax. And as my father-in-law says in French “moins cher est plus cher”, cheap is expensive, in this case it might be true. You pay later for crap.

To burn one once in a while doesn’t harm you at all but to be a freaking pyromaniac like me is a no no.

So take a closer look next time you buy a candle!

BIRTHDAY CAKE IDEA

I discovered a new (for me) blog yesterday - bleubird. It has all that I want in a blog - life, love and nice photography. You have to check it out! 

And in this new blog I also found what I've been looking for in a while... the perfect cake for Viggos' birthday! It's coming up in 2 months and better be sooner than later: it's cute and simple in one: just add some frosting and place some animal toys on the top. Done! :)
