FUN CRAFTS FOR KIDDOS part 1

Viggo has a little mini kitchen like almost every kiddo and he loves to spend time makin' and bakin'. But - the thing is, I'd love for him to have some "food' to play with too and no plastic stuff but the real deal. So I thought of trolldeg! When I was little we made salty dough almost every weekend and I want Viggo to do the same. Esay peasy to make the dough and just bake it in the owen and paint! I'm planning on doing cinnamonrolls and raspberry cakes like below, total photocredit to the blog Lindas Rassel that I found on pinterest, it's exactly how I visioned it in my head! And why not donuts and pain au chocolat? And croissants?! Yaj! :D
I'm going to have more fun than Viggo!

Stay tuned tomorrow for more ideas, I found so much fun on Pinterest!

BIG BED FOR LITTLE BOY

We thought it was about time that Viggo changes his crib for a real bed, for big boys!
He's been calling us from his bed for weeks now to wake us up and most important, get out of his crib. We hope that this will make him feel more secure, knowing that he can get up and look or us when he wants, and leave us some more minutes underneath the duvet before getting up!

How old was your kid(s) when he/she got a "real" bed?

PLAYDATE!

This weekend went by way too fast! Saturday we went to Masha's place and had a playdate with her and Lara. it was awesomely fun to watch her play with Viggie and Lara, she is such a cool mum and invents games on the go! Like car racing! :)

Viggo discovered that pink cars go as fast as blue and that Hello Kitty suits him perfect! :)

Then we went home to paint our new bibliotheque Philippe built (more about that later) while Viggo napped and then we had pizzas and chilled. Sunday was all about spring cleaning volume one for all day long exept un excursion in the absolutely gorgeous weather, around 20 degrees, and more chilling.

I did have the time to scrap some ;) I'll show you later!

SHOPPING TIP!

I found this cute little online shop yesterday with the sweetest little things and I just needed to share with you! I think I pinned the entire store because I really want everything, the little necklaces and rings, and the mugs and things for the kid… all! Bird on the Wire is the name and they also have a real store in Paris. Prettyness!

XMAS GIFT TIP (KIDS CLOTHING)

I just found this french shop, Diapers and Milk, the most stylish leggings ever! From 0 months to 5 years and in made in 100% coton bio, I chosed the "Nicholas" ones for Viggo and I'll hope they will get here fast :) Check it out!

APP TIP!

This is a cute little app for kids Little Fox Music Box, it's a sing-a-long app but the best thing is the little cosy music studio where you can use everything on the screen! A frog burps, a bottle blow and birds sing. But it's all so calm and soothing, you won't go nuts when your kid's using it - good for child, good for parents! :)

Viggo loves it and we have concert sessions together, awesome!

THE GARLAND

I finally got a moment to shoot the garland. I simply put up some nails and then just "thread" it around them, it took me 3 minutes. A good thing is that it has a power switch, which means you don't have to bend down each time to turn it on/off.

 Like an art work :)
It's so pretty when it's lit!

Of course the mini-me had to be around when this happening took place! He found a paper tube and had a blast with it, a little star wars was going on so I had to stop the shooting and play some. I'll show you the finished DIY later, you can see it on the right, hangning over Viggos' bed. Some pictures are still to be hung, like the boy with the balloons... Why does the day only have 24 hours? :)

BIRTHDAY CAKE IDEA

I discovered a new (for me) blog yesterday - bleubird. It has all that I want in a blog - life, love and nice photography. You have to check it out!

And in this new blog I also found what I've been looking for in a while... the perfect cake for Viggos' birthday! It's coming up in 2 months and better be sooner than later: it's cute and simple in one: just add some frosting and place some animal toys on the top. Done! :)

Now it's time for dinner, my Phil of mine made us couscous! And a good one too, he was up at 9 this morning to start cooking and we already had it for lunch! Yum!

AUTUMN SHOPPING VOL 2

This is what I got for Viggo yesterday and you might now think I’m being sponsored by Zara, but that’s not it. I just love their baby/kid collections! The best part is also that the more you shop from the same collection, the easier it is in the morning to find a nice outfit. Nice, comfortable and adapted to the weather that is.

I got Viggo a parka last month and with this new down jacket he’s ready for chillier winds!

Love this schmunkylunky!

LUMINOUS TIP!

This is absolutely nothing new but I’ve been checking out these garlands for a while now in each and every interior blog but never actually searched for it on the web.
Now I have and I’m thrilled, it is so pretty pretty! :)

So many variations, so many combinations! You pick your own colours and even the order in which you want your “boules” and 10-15 (or many, many more in my case) minutes later you have your own unique garland! Perfect for the livingroom, kidsroom or just everywhere! Perfect Christmas gift tip too! I made mine HERE

This is the combinations I came up with, the above for Viggos room and the below for the living room. But you can just go on forever and ever and ever and... stop, woman! :D

DARK WALLS HANGUP

This is Viggo’s room. He is sleeping in his bed if you can see it but that’s not what this is about. It’s about redecorate his room and make it less baby-ish. So I'm showing it to you for the last time…

I want to either paint a wall dark grey OR make him a giant blackboard. To give the room some depth and cosyness. Something like this, what do you think? Pretty?

DOING THE DIY ART

Some weeks ago I saw a nice little painting on a blog. Or I thought it was a painting but it turned out to actually be a blackboard and just a doodle on the blackboard to make it pretty for sell.

When I saw it I thought of a DIY immidately but since it's art I wouldn't go through with it. I'm not a copy cat of that point. But since it turned out to be just a doodle I think I can. So I went to the craft store for some black, thick, heavy paper and a really nice white pen. And today - tada! I started! AND I finished!

Here are the in progress pic and tomorrow I'll show you the final result. I made a little castle but finally decided to go simple so I turned the paper and did another one, but as I said, I'll show you tomorrow! :)

SHOPPING IN STOCKHOLM

Hej hej!

Sorry for the absence here, I was up for a quickie this weekend to visit my mum in Stockholm! I shopped a bit 'til I dropped and I met sweet Emma, my BFF when I was little and that I hadn't seen in real since 2000! Amazing to just sit down and talk about everything and nothing fourteen years later. Note to self: Do this more often. I also had the time to swing by Jessica, my childhood friend that I know since 1984, to give her a hug! In between helping my mum with paperwork for her move (my childhood home is now sold) and visit her new place and seeing these lovely ladies I squeezed in a couple of hours to shop. I found Littlephant kids clothes at Lindex, a Swedish store that you can now buy online from in several countries. I love Littlephant  and Lindex's eco choise so this is what I threw in my basket.

I would have gone crazy if it wasn’t the fact I could only bring 10 kilos since I only had hand luggage. Next time I’ll go I will take luggage AND extra luggage, I always do the same error…

I also bought Swedish kids books and things for me from Gina Tricot (another Swedish fave), I’ll show you more later.

Have a nice afternoon!

AUTUMN SHOPPING VOL 1

This and more (maybe a bit too much) was shopped yesterday for the mini me. I just can stop when I'm at Zaras' baby department, I go nuts! Everything is cutiecute and everything goes so well together so I'm just shoveling into the shopping basket like a mad man... or woman in this case!

NEW BED TO VIGGO

Viggo is getting bigger and will soon be needing a "real" bed. I think it's really cosy with bunk beds but with a little play area underneath instead of a bed. I always loved that when I was little and I think Viggo would too.
Maybe Ikea have something nice since my budget is not really adequate for design bunk beds like above... :)

FIN BARNRUMSTAPET

Den här tapeten vill jag ha till Viggos rum, från Ferm Living tror jag att den är. Så härlig! Från fina bloggen Kenzi Poo.

I'd like this pretty wall paper for Viggos room, from the cute blog Kenzie Poo
