MY SPRING INSPIRATION

This is how I see spring this year, matte aqua and tangerine mixed with pale pink and pretty, cheer patterns! Mixed that with some cool black and white sayings on the wall and you got me!

I seek for the little details and less expensive decoration and it's like the god of poor budgets heard me - H&M Home online store just opened here in France, yaj! That is one perfectly cool timing! So now you have to excuse me, I'm gonna spend the evening clickin' away! :)

CUSTOM SHELF ALMOST DONE!

We thought that the left wall in our living room/open space felt a bit empty. We surfed the web for a suiting furniture but didn’t find anything that both of us liked or that was big enough. So, the man with the master plan (Philippe) decided to do it himself! And he did! And the result is like… yeah, what’s the word again… FREAKIN‘ AMAZING!

Here is how it looks today, there is still missing a big wooden mirror in the middle, some lightning and of course A lot of decoration! The fun part is yet to come! :D

PINS OF THE DAY!

We're finalizing the kitchen and we thought about bricks first, it really gives a cosy feeling a brings me back to the nice appartements I've known in Stockholm but to modernise a bit and easier cleaning (I know - boring) we finally went for black, glossy tiles in 100cm from Porcelanosa! Delivery is scheduled for tuesday and I can't wait! So we'll have a mix of these two styles:

RIGHT NOW

I'm down with a cold today and so is little one. This is where I do my PL, kinda messy but I find order in my disorder... :) I'll show you more some day. Now - time for tea! A big one!

THE GARLAND

I finally got a moment to shoot the garland. I simply put up some nails and then just "thread" it around them, it took me 3 minutes. A good thing is that it has a power switch, which means you don't have to bend down each time to turn it on/off.

 Like an art work :)

It's so pretty when it's lit!

Of course the mini-me had to be around when this happening took place! He found a paper tube and had a blast with it, a little star wars was going on so I had to stop the shooting and play some. I'll show you the finished DIY later, you can see it on the right, hangning over Viggos' bed. Some pictures are still to be hung, like the boy with the balloons... Why does the day only have 24 hours? :)

I found more prettyness at H&M Home and now I'm really considering ordering some stuff to my mums' address in Stockholm and then ship it to me... What do you think, aren't these budget friendly-Ferm Living-copies worthy a go?

LUMINOUS TIP!

This is absolutely nothing new but I’ve been checking out these garlands for a while now in each and every interior blog but never actually searched for it on the web. 

Now I have and I’m thrilled, it is so pretty pretty! :)

So many variations, so many combinations! You pick your own colours and even the order in which you want your “boules” and 10-15 (or many, many more in my case) minutes later you have your own unique garland! Perfect for the livingroom, kidsroom or just everywhere! Perfect Christmas gift tip too! I made mine HERE 

This is the combinations I came up with, the above for Viggos room and the below for the living room. But you can just go on forever and ever and ever and... stop, woman! :D

DARK WALLS HANGUP

This is Viggo’s room. He is sleeping in his bed if you can see it but that’s not what this is about. It’s about redecorate his room and make it less baby-ish. So I'm showing it to you for the last time…

I want to either paint a wall dark grey OR make him a giant blackboard. To give the room some depth and cosyness. Something like this, what do you think? Pretty?

AT LAST... A KITCHEN ISLAND

We finally put together the kitchen island that has been a project for months and months! We decided to go simple so we just put 3 cabinets with the oven and 2 small on the other side, two countertops and voilà! :)

As you can see the bar chairs still misses the seats but it will soon be fixed with two pieces of wood and maybe a cushion.

Back to work for me now, have a nice tuesday!

FERM LIVING

har verkligen de finaste prylarna, de här fina korgarna får gärna stå hemma på mitt vardagsrumsgolv. Med en växt i eller nåt, kan ju vara jättefint. Ska kanske klicka hem nåt nu när renoveringen är klar... Jag hade tänkt att fota lite i helgen men magsjukan version 2.0 kom i vägen, jag var hemma från jobbet tills idag men nu känns det bättre, Viggo och Phil är redan friska så nu kör veckan igång i dubbelt tempo. Ny vecka, nya tag! :)

Ferm Living really got the nicest things, I would love these baskets on my living room floor, maybe some shopping now when the renovation is done? Talking about done, I thought I would take some pics this weekend but the stomach flu 2.0 got in the way, now we're all good but it was quite an interesting weekend we had there. :)

SMYGTITT PÅ NYA GOLVET

på nya golvet, det blev så fint! Vi valde en ljus, lite grå parkett till vårt grå klinkersgolv i köket. Nu ska vi bara sätta upp golvlister och fixa trappan ner till tv-rummet, lite lister till kaklet i köket och bänken till köksön och sen är det klaaart! No more renovering! Jippi! Nu ska det bakas och pysslas och donas i helgerna istället för tänka milimetrar, spackel och färgsättning. Hurra! Ni förstår kanske att jag är glad, men efter nästan 2 års långdragen renoveringen blir man löjligt lycklig när det är över! :D Nu kan Viggo krypa överallt utan att frysa om fossingarna...

A little sneak peak of the new floor, it's a bit grayish to go with the kitchen tiles and it's sooo nice! Just some details missing and then the 2 year renovation is over, wow! Now Viggo can crawl all over without getting cold...

I VÄNTAN PÅ LJUS

Även om jag bor i södra Frankrike så blir det mörkt på kvällen. Efter att kämpat igenom lite rusningstrafik, hämtat Viggo hos dagmamman och krånglat av oss vinterkläder är kvällen redan här och det är mörkt ute. Så att fota vårt nya parkettgolv och köket blir nog inte av förrens på fredag då jag jobbar hemifrån. Tills dess en önskebild på framtida planlösning i ett framtida hus... :)

Even though I live in the south of France it gets dark in the evening. So after some traffic jams, picking up Viggo at the nanny and getting home and having the fuss of winter clothing- take off it’s already dark. So the intended photos of our new wooden flooring will have to wait until the weekend. Until then here’s how I would like my future living room in a future house...

BRILJANT IDEE!

Jag vet inte hur många bloggar jag har i min bloglovin’ och som jag läser varje dag, eller tittar är nog mer det korrekta ordet, där inspirationsflödet aldrig sinar... Över hundra är det iallafall. En av dem är Weekday Carnival weekdaycarnival.blogspot.com där jag såg denna underbara bild. En perfekt ”möbel” tillverkad av vanliga köksskåp! Jag tror att vi kommer köra på något sådant på vardagsrummets ena långsida. En fem meter lång vägg bara med skåp i olika dimensioner, massor av förvaring och snyggt för ögat. Kanske något öppet för att det inte ska bli för massivt men massor av dold förvaring är det vi behöver i vårt hus. Idag håller byggkillarna på att sätta upp gipsskivor i hela undervåningen och sen ska det slipas och målas, köket kaklas och sen är det klart! 2 år av renovering håller på att avslutas, helt underbart! 

I don’t know how many blogs I read every day through my bloglovin’ but it’s over a hundred… One of them is Weekday Carnival, a Finnish blog, and that is where I found this lovely image, a perfect combination of storage and “design”, lots of room to store all the things in the house but also really pretty for the eyes! We’re going to something like this in our living room I think!

INTE MYCKET TILL LJUS

Så det blir massor med mysljus istället! Och goda köksnyheter fick jag idag, till helgen blir nog köket klart, pärlsponten ska bort och kaklet likaså och gipskivor ska upp och nytt kakel och en vägg och en köksö! Snart så, ett färdigt kök!

There is not much light... so we light up so many candles we can! And I got some good kitchen news today, maybe this weekend it will finally be ready. I'll share if that happens!

Sovrum före och efter

Vi kör lite mer före och efter, vårt sovrum kommer här:


Vi har målat väggar, satt upp tak- och golvlister, lagt parkett och målat dörrar och garderobsdörrar.
 
Jag letar efter ett fint elementskydd som också blir fönsterbräde men under tiden blir två konsoler och en hylla från Ikea bra!

Några tavlor ska upp ovanför sängen också, varför är det så svårt med de där sista fixet? Vi håller på i månader att slipa, måla, lägga in golv osv osv och så kan vi inte spika upp en tavla på 5 minuter?! Man blir nog hemblind tror jag. Nästa husrenovering överlåter jag åt anlitade killar så kan jag bara fixa och pilla, det som är så kul! :)
