FUN CRAFTS FOR KIDDOS part 1

Viggo has a little mini kitchen like almost every kiddo and he loves to spend time makin' and bakin'. But - the thing is, I'd love for him to have some "food' to play with too and no plastic stuff but the real deal. So I thought of trolldeg! When I was little we made salty dough almost every weekend and I want Viggo to do the same. Esay peasy to make the dough and just bake it in the owen and paint! I'm planning on doing cinnamonrolls and raspberry cakes like below, total photocredit to the blog Lindas Rassel that I found on pinterest, it's exactly how I visioned it in my head! And why not donuts and pain au chocolat? And croissants?! Yaj! :D

I'm going to have more fun than Viggo!

DIY - ALPHA

Got some alphas you don't like anymore? Or that looked pretty on the web and not that pretty for real? It happend to me, I ordered a red one that I really like font-wise but the color is just too christmassy, red sparkles doesn't fit my spring mood. So I decided to try a new thing - spray paint them!

This is how I did:

1. Take alphas you wanna give a new look. You can't see the sparkles here but it sparkles!

2. Take spray paint, I chosed copper

3. Spray paint

4. Leave to dry at least 1 hour

Tadaa! A new alpha in copper that - sparkles! :D

Try it, it's fun and recycling is good!

QUICK DIY WALL ART

I try to live life to the fullest and Carpe Diem is one of my favorite sayings. I wanted that on my wall but in a bit more cool style. When I saw this Carpe That Fucking Diem sweater I instantly knew how to do my wall art!

Just put some Helvetica on a black background in Photoshop...

Print it on thick paper and cut off the white...

And voilà! I made it really easy by just paste the whole thing directly on the cardboard that comes with the frame, easy peasy! :)

#FROMWHEREIWORK X 2

We scrapped some this weekend, and when I say we that means little one and me. He's got his own little desk next to mine where he draws, cuts and pastes and it's just lovely too see!

I made 2 pages but I forgot them in my camera at home and I'm at work so... you get it. But here's a preview from my phone! :)

WORKSPACE WEDNESDAY

I’ve seen so many inspiring workspaces lately so I want to show you mine! It’s been under construction for like a year and is finally coming together as I want. I prefer to scrap standing but I do sit down to work on the computer so I still need a stool, shelves on the wall and more prettyness! Oh sigh, so much hard work ahead of me, right? :)

Of course I forgot to snap the whole room so you have to imagine how the rest looks like until I show you for real…

FREE PRINTABLE GIFT TAGS

You can find free printable gift tags all over the web and here is my selection for the year. I chosed the Boraillustraties ones since it's matching my paper perfect! I had a real flow going and wrote my tags for just to discover in the end I wrote to Viggo from mum or dad all over... euh, it's Santa who's coming with gifts right? Fortunately the Viggievig doesn't read yet, he he! :D

RIGHT NOW

I'm down with a cold today and so is little one. This is where I do my PL, kinda messy but I find order in my disorder... :) I'll show you more some day. Now - time for tea! A big one!

ADVENT CALENDER FOR VIGGO

I decided to go simple, first of all because I didn't find enough little gifts in time and second because 4 is enough, one each sunday, for a little guy that prefers the gift wrapping more than the actual gift.

So this is the advent star, I made the wood star last year, and now it's being recycled for this. Simple wrapping and some wool thread + these printables = done! :)

And this is the reason why the "forest theme"! I got him a little beginning of something I'd like to be a tradition, a little collection from Schleich!

Tonight I'll begin my December Daily, I got a Becky Higgins album and lots of yum so I can't wait until tonight!

DOING THE DIY ART

Some weeks ago I saw a nice little painting on a blog. Or I thought it was a painting but it turned out to actually be a blackboard and just a doodle on the blackboard to make it pretty for sell. 

When I saw it I thought of a DIY immidately but since it's art I wouldn't go through with it. I'm not a copy cat of that point. But since it turned out to be just a doodle I think I can. So I went to the craft store for some black, thick, heavy paper and a really nice white pen. And today - tada! I started! AND I finished!

Here are the in progress pic and tomorrow I'll show you the final result. I made a little castle but finally decided to go simple so I turned the paper and did another one, but as I said, I'll show you tomorrow! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We carved a pumpkin last night! And bought lots of candy for the kids in the neighbourhood. This will be the first halloween for Viggo and he's got a skeleton costume and will of course be the cutest of them all! ;)

MIN HÖJD AV PÅSKPYNT

Påsk är inte nåt jag firar sen jag blivit "vuxen", det var kul när man var liten och sprang i kvarteret som påskkärring. Men sen dess är det inte något jag lägger ner mycket energi på. Men nu finns ju en liten Viggo i mitt liv och för honom ska jag fira riktig svensk påsk! Men typ när han blir fem, för nu fattar han nog inte vitsen med fjädrar och påskris och annat. Så i år blir det soft påsk men lite mucchar på äggen, finfint!

I don’t celebrate easter since I was little, it was so fun running around the neighbourhood as a “påskkärring”, a really Swedish tradition. But since then I don’t put much energy in to it. But now Viggo is a part of our life and I wanna give him the same childhood memories. But when he turn like five because until then he won’t understand much of it. So this year some moustaches on the eggs is my way to go!     

SEMLOR

Eftersom det var fettisdagen igår och jag är hemma idag igen på "tvingad" semester så ska jag ge mig på ett försök men hemgjorda semlor. För det är nåt som självklart inte finns här nere, inte riktigt en fransk specialitet! :) Måste åka och handla mjöl och då ska jag passa på att köpa fotopapper. Känns som en evighet sen jag skrev ut foton och pillade i Viggos album... Varför har man så lite tid? Jaja, här skiner solen så nu ska här fixas!

Since I'm still at home on "forced" vacation, our nanny is sick, I'n gonna give these buns a try. It a swedish specialty and are called Semla, it's a regular bun with wipped cream and almond filling - so yummy!

Today the sun is shining and feel inspirated to get some album-work done, it's been forever since I printed photos to Viggos babay album. Gotta get going! :)

HOME MADE MOUSTACHE STAMP

Jag tillverkade en liten mustach-stämpel, det tog nog inte ens 10 minuter. Ett suddgummi + hobbykniv = fint!

 

I made a moustache stamp, easy peasy, an eraser + hobby knife and voilà!

KORT TILL MORFAR

 

Jag hann göra detta lilla kort att skicka till min pappa mellan två ammningar. Inte så mycket till scrapbooking men ack så roligt ändå. Detta är nog nivån för pyssel för de 6 kommande månaderna och det är helt okej för mig! Jag skulle hinna mer än så eftersom Viggo sover minst 2,5 - 3 timmar i streck minst på dagen, men det känns som om den forna "scrappingen" är för alltid förbi... 

Oj, vad dramatisk jag blev, ville bara säga att det enkla oftast är finast, less is more ju! :) 

Nu är det lunch, sen kommer gammelfarmor på 85 bast flygande och ska pussas och sen prommis!

I made this little card for my dad and I realise that this is going to be the level of scrapbooking for the next 6 months and happy with that, often less is more and this is a nice and simple card!

We're having Viggo's great grandmother over for tea, she's 85 and walks faster than I do! :)

Yesterday was gift wrapping day! It's my favorite thing with christmas, I prefere wrapping gifts and give than receive. To use diffrent papers and ribbons and glue accents on them. It's always as popular on christmas eve for the family to see this year's version :)

And now with washi tape, there is no limit with imagination!

We're having friends over for dinner tonight and I will make some special pies for the occasion, I have to start right away, have a nice friday!

A homemade "Adventsstjärna" - advent star that I made out of branches from my garden and a christmas tree decoration. Again - I love my heat gun! :)
