JUST FOR ME

When I saw this little candle on my shopping spree yesterday I just had to have it, it is so true. My work is 8 hours of internet, my hobby and this blog is all about the web and the rest of my time is kinda filled with instagramming, blogloving och pinteresting. Omg, that sounds more addicted than I thought! I do go outside, I do play with my son and I have friends that I socialize with so I hope I'm normal in one way... :)

MY SPRING INSPIRATION

This is how I see spring this year, matte aqua and tangerine mixed with pale pink and pretty, cheer patterns! Mixed that with some cool black and white sayings on the wall and you got me!

I seek for the little details and less expensive decoration and it's like the god of poor budgets heard me - H&M Home online store just opened here in France, yaj! That is one perfectly cool timing! So now you have to excuse me, I'm gonna spend the evening clickin' away! :)

FRIDAY LOVE

Finally Friday! Only 3 more hours to go before the weekend seriously starts! We have the most beautiful spring weather here with sun and 20 degrees, I can't wait to be outside! I bought some new decoration elements but here is what inspires me on Pinterest today:

SMALL DETAILS MATTERS

The last bits and pieces of the house are now coming together... After almost 2 years of renovations, big changes and extensions we can now finally start the fun part - decoration!

I went on a mini shopping spree earlier today for some succulents and a bigger plant and this is what I came home with I just love that Snake plant, there is something "Case Study Houses" about it, you know, that slim 50's style that we reproduces nowadays! I think the succulents are my faves for the same reason... :)

PS. I snap everything with my smartphone for the moment, some day I'll use my DSLR again... :)

PRRRETTYNESS IN A CLOCK!

I checked out my Pinterest this morning and saw one of these wall clock and had one of those oh-swell-moments! Yum, yum of prettyness!

I didn't know this online store and now I'm totally hooked! Society6 have all you could ever wanted in art prints! If you like the print you can chose it on clocks, bags, mugs, t-shirts and on and on. Amazing and Affordable! Go check it out here!

There are 80 (!) pages of wall clocks and now my only issue is which one to chose! :D

SHOPPING TIP!

I found this cute little online shop yesterday with the sweetest little things and I just needed to share with you! I think I pinned the entire store because I really want everything, the little necklaces and rings, and the mugs and things for the kid… all! Bird on the Wire is the name and they also have a real store in Paris. Prettyness!

ALL HEARTS DAY

as it's called it in Sweden is tomorrow and this is what I had bought if I had had the time to order online... It's dorky stuff, cheap and from the same store just to make it easy!
Neither Philippe or me are big enthusiasts of Valentines day so it's not a biggie, but he'll get something ;)

ODE TO THE WEATHER... OR NOT

It's raining, it's all foggy and grey here in Montpellier today, so I thought I would cheer myself up with this pic that I snapped yesterday morning in the car going to work. AND show you the new calendar stamp/brush set I bought from Paislee Press, that is just perfect! I also bought some other templates and I'll show you, they are gorgeous and so versatile!

I used a vsco filter and the calendar and I use this photo like a title card for my PL.

YOU'VE GOT MAIL!

This is what the delivery guy came with today - the Freckled Fawn order! Wouho!

They must think I'm a shopaholic here at work, this week I received a package a day, hi hi. I'm really please with this little collection, there are phrases, bubbles, arrows, hearts, houses and tons of other mini-prettyness! Tonight is scrap night!

THE GARLAND

I finally got a moment to shoot the garland. I simply put up some nails and then just "thread" it around them, it took me 3 minutes. A good thing is that it has a power switch, which means you don't have to bend down each time to turn it on/off.

It's so pretty when it's lit!

Of course the mini-me had to be around when this happening took place! He found a paper tube and had a blast with it, a little star wars was going on so I had to stop the shooting and play some. I'll show you the finished DIY later, you can see it on the right, hangning over Viggos' bed. Some pictures are still to be hung, like the boy with the balloons... Why does the day only have 24 hours? :)

MY BALLS ARE HERE :D

They are here, my balls are here! I'm so exited, don't know why, they are just so pretty. There are two layers of them, I chosed the 35 lenght and I'm glad I did. I'll put them up tonight in Viggos room to see them glowing.

MORE H&M HOME KIDS

I found more prettyness at H&M Home and now I'm really considering ordering some stuff to my mums' address in Stockholm and then ship it to me... What do you think, aren't these budget friendly-Ferm Living-copies worthy a go?

WINTER MAGIC

is the new kids collection from H&M Home. So cute. But why isn't the Home collection available here in France? And why can't you buy online neither? For a Swedish girl like myself, H&M is as obvious as a groceries store... It feels like we have one in each street corner in Stockholm!

FRECKLED FAWN

I've been seeing all these pretty embellishments in PL-creations in cork and wood and so on but never knewed where to get them. Now I do. I found the Freckled Fawn shop where you can either buy embellishments in monthly kits or just shop them normally. Shipping is about 12€ to Europe so threw in quite much in my basket to make it worth the shipping cost... Yeah right, who am I kidding, that's just a good excuse to shop a lot! :D

I just printed some photos and the house is quiet since everybody else is taking a nap so I'll try to make another PL page right away. And it's raining so it's kinda perfect for a scapping afternoon.

SCENTED CANDLES

I read the new issue of “Trendenser”, an iPad magazine, and learned something I had no idea about. That scented candles can be bad for you, it's polluting your indoor air.

 Some scented candles are made of paraffin wax which is the “final by-product in the petroleum refining chain” and “it’s the bottom of the barrel even after asphalt extracted”… hmm. Your scented candle might scent a bit less nice after reading that.

For me and my, for the moment 8 Ikea candles on the kitchen island, this strikes me as a bit unhealthy. Ikea makes cheap candles but they are all made of paraffin wax. And as my father-in-law says in French “moins cher est plus cher”, cheap is expensive, in this case it might be true. You pay later for crap.

To burn one once in a while doesn’t harm you at all but to be a freaking pyromaniac like me is a no no.

So take a closer look next time you buy a candle!

NAIL POLISH & THIN RINGS

Thin rings are my new obsession and as you can see I’m full of ‘em! :D 

I’m also looking for the perfect dark brown nail polish for the moment, I had a lunch date with my sweet work mate Sandra today and we took a little tour to Kiko where I found a really nice one.

has just THE prettiest things for your home ever... I want everything and especially now when winter and christmas is coming up, they just put me in the right mood. Love when it's all "airy" and light. It's a Danish brand so that explains the loveliness...

A BITE OF SWEDEN

I went to Ikea today and that was mildly said a mistake. Because so did the half of my town too. Since it's a holiday here I supposed everybody thought like me and said, hey, lets check out Ikea! So after chasing a parking space and cued for what felt like forever I finally passed the checkout with my stuff and headed to the Epicerie Suedoise... yumyum. That's the store-in-store for swedish food. I bought a whooole lot of food and several packages of Lussebullar. This is a swedish cake and specialty that is served only at christmas and it's oh so good. I will make my own this year too but this was just a little teaser. :) I'll give you the recipe of my Lussebullar once they are baked and tasted!

AUTUMN SHOPPING VOL 2

This is what I got for Viggo yesterday and you might now think I’m being sponsored by Zara, but that’s not it. I just love their baby/kid collections! The best part is also that the more you shop from the same collection, the easier it is in the morning to find a nice outfit. Nice, comfortable and adapted to the weather that is. 

I got Viggo a parka last month and with this new down jacket he’s ready for chillier winds!
